Victoria &
Albert's
Disneyland, Orlando - Located
in Disney's elaborate Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Orlando,
the interior has been decorated to resemble Queen Victoria's dining
rooms. Service is exquisite. Each table receives the courteous,
impeccable service of its own maid and butler. The menu changes
often, and it's impossible to say exactly what it may hold during
your visit. But rest assured that everything will be delicious.
If available, opt for the appetizer of pheasant breast served with
blackberry glaze. For salads, try the unique blend of spinach, watercress
and endive dressed in Gorgonzola and garnished with quail eggs.
Main courses are varied, from veal topped with a sliver of white
truffle to mahi mahi crusted with horseradish.
Norman's

The grand scale of the dining room, a spacious, octagonal room with
high ceilings, enormous windows and marble floors, is tempered by
intimate tables covered in linen and lit by oil lamps. Service is
superb. By deftly blending Caribbean and South Florida flavors,
Chef Norman van Aken reminds Orlando why he's the reigning king
of Floridian cooking. A habanero tartar salsa adds heat to crispy,
succulent yucca-stuffed shrimp, while Grand Marnier-marinated foie
gras simply melts in the mouth.
Arthur's 27
Disneyworld, Orlando - The restaurant, located
on the 27th floor of the Wyndham Palace. There is a spellbinding
view of the surrounding attractions. The service is first-rate,
and the well-trained staff is eager to attend to every whim. Start
with the lobster bisque or the potato and goat cheese ravioli, topped
with a delicious and light truffle-butter sauce. For your entree,
head for the salmon baked in phyllo dough and served with wild mushrooms
and orzo. The grilled veal loin, accompanied by al dente asparagus
and covered in a tantalizing sorrel pesto, is equally good. For
dessert, don't skip Arthur's 27 souffle, a scrumptious blend of
chocolate and Grand Marnier.
